Course 1: Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy for Phobias

Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy is a type of exposure therapy that is safer, more practical, and more time and cost effective than reproducing the real world situations in a treatment context. Situations can be created that are difficult to find in real life, and in a format that is often more realistic than imagining the feared situation.

Course completion time is approximately 1.5 hours.  When you have completed this course, you will be able to describe the underlying rationale of exposure therapy in general and virtual reality exposure therapy specifically, as a treatment for phobias. You will have working knowledge of both technical and clinical nuances of virtual reality exposure therapy in the treatment of phobias, and will be able to describe the benefits to both therapist and patient.

1.5 CE credits available upon the completion of the entire course, answering at least 80% of the final quiz questions correctly, and submission of the course evaluation form.
